Dr Gary Veale - Founder, Geri

Geri is led by Dr Gary Veale. Gary is the Executive Director of Melbourne Business School’s Centre for Sustainability and Business, he is a former Director with KPMG, holds a transdisciplinary PhD in the role of nature in unlocking human potential, and is an Honorary Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne.

Gary has over 25 years of experience working with leading advisory firms, in industry and startups. Gary is the founder of The Nature Of, a specialist firm focused on unlocking societal and commercial value arising from the human relationship with nature. His background includes expertise in capability development, and capability development frameworks, across a number of sectors.

Over the years Gary has worked with and advised many leading organisations and institutions in Australia and overseas. His background includes leading KPMG’s Australian grants practice, co-establishing sustainability practices in Australia at KPMG and EY, leading KPMG’s global sustainable supply chain response and delivering a diversity of strategy and operational engagements (including university feasibility studies) for clients large and small. He originally trained as a teacher at the University of Bath and has an honours degree in biological sciences from Durham University.
